Celebrating the Completion of the Roseland Collective
We’re thrilled to share that the Roseland Collective—the inaugural cohort of CVNC’s Neighborhood Collective program—has officially completed its six-month journey!
This program was created with one goal in mind: to strengthen the backbone of small and micro community-based organizations by equipping them with the tools and support needed to build sustainable, well-functioning operations. Grounded in the power of place, the Neighborhood Collective brings together CBOs from a specific neighborhood to grow alongside one another through hands-on group learning, peer connection, and personalized technical assistance.
In Roseland, we had the honor of working closely with 11 leaders—executive directors, senior staff, and board members—from six grassroots organizations deeply rooted in the community. Together, they tackled back-office challenges, built new systems, and shared insights in a space designed for trust and collaboration.
We’re proud to celebrate the many milestones this group achieved—from developing organizational budgets and launching fundraising strategies to crafting new marketing and communications materials. Even more powerful were the relationships built and the renewed sense of possibility that came from learning and growing in community.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’re so grateful to these leaders for their commitment, energy, and vision. The Roseland Collective has set the bar, and we’re excited to carry this momentum into future cohorts across Chicago.
Stay tuned—we’re just getting started.
