About CVNC

Chicago Vibrant Neighborhoods Collective (CVNC) builds healthy, vibrant communities in historically disinvested Chicago neighborhoods by strengthening homegrown, community-rooted nonprofits with the tools, resources, and collaborative support they need to grow stronger and more sustainable.

Founded in 2024 by former Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot, CVNC provides pro bono, one-on-one capacity-building support through its Capacity Catalyst and Neighborhood Collective programs, focusing on strategy and governance, financial health, and communicating impact.

In its first 18 months, CVNC partnered with 21 nonprofits across 8 neighborhoods, logging over 2,100 consulting hours with a 94% client satisfaction rate. Because when community-based organizations have the capacity to thrive, neighborhoods do too.
